List of works completed under Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADs)

  • Proposals submitted well in advance to the District Magistrate which is a unique approach to expedite the development works as soon as funds are received
  • Several greenfield developmental initiatives in carried out using the MPLADS funds.
  • Contracts awarded and raw materials procured at the most cost-effective price after detailed market research.
  • Approximately Rs.59 Lakhs were expended on installation of 294 solar lights in 13 blocks in the constituency
  • Approximately Rs 1.51 crore was expended on installation of 499 handpumps and 6 interlocking roads worth around Rs 27 lakhs across the constituency
  • Approximately Rs. 60 lakhs were expended on the installation of 243 solar lights in 16 blocks in the constituency

  • Approximately Rs. 2.5 crore were expended on the construction of 38 interlocking roads with a total length of around 5.7 KM across 12 blocks in the constituency.
  • Approximately Rs. 1.2 crores were expended on the construction of 21 interlocking roads with a total length of around 3 KM across 12 blocks in the constituency.
  • Approximately Rs. 92 lakhs were expended on the construction of 5 Baraat Ghars in 5 blocks in the constituency.
  • Approximately Rs. 5 lakhs were expended on the construction of Transformers in Bhadaiya and PP Kamaicha

Other Initiatives

  • Got approximately Rs. 77 lakhs sanctioned under the Prime Minister Relief fund for 73 applicants suffering from various serious ailments.
  • Donated cent per cent of remuneration received as a Member of Parliament to the needy families of farmers who have committed suicide
  • Got concretization,expansion and shoulder paving of Tanda-Ambedkar-Rae Bareilly Road via Sultanpur sanctioned from the Road Planning Director.
  • Got Rs. 58 crores sanctioned under the Urban infrastructure Development Scheme for Small & Medium Towns (UIDSSMT) to resolve the problem of lack of drinking water in Sultanpur Municipal Area
  • Organized a camp for the disabled and distributed tricycles, wheelchairs and other disabled-friendly equipment.
  • Got 18 districts included in the cooperative bank refinancing scheme of the Cooperative Bank of Sultanpur.
  • Efforts led to the establishment of the Rape Crisis Society in Sultanpur District.
  • Efforts led to the organization of a two day passport camp by the ministry of external affairs wherein 300 persons had their passports made.
  • Efforts led to Gauri Devi wife of Shri Menhi Lal receiving farmer life insurance of rupees 5 lakh after her husband’s death.
  • Efforts led to the passing of the proposal and laying of the foundation for Shahganj-Unanchar railway line
  • Efforts led to the Varuna Express adding a stop at Koiripur station after nearly two and a half decades.
  • Efforts led to the sanction of rupees 165 crore from the Central Government for the development of tourist spots in Uttar Pradesh.
  • Efforts led to the establishment of State Industrial Training Institute in Chanda village of Sultanpur district.
  • Provided vocational skill training in stitching and embroidery to 62 women in Ballipur-Kurebhar area under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. This also led to the establishment of two women self help groups in the area.
